It’s a critical time for remote communication, as businesses, education institutions, governments, and non-profits around the U.S. are adapting to the new “work from anywhere” model. The pandemic created an immediate need for almost all industries to allow employees to work from home, or rather, from anywhere in the world – with the exception of the one place where work has always been conducted: in company offices. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sports industry has been significant, with sports events being temporarily shut down, cancelled or postponed. After a three month mid-season delay, the NBA finished their schedule in a bubble. Major League Baseball played only 60 of 162 regular season and the NFL plays each week in near empty stadiums. Now the Pac-12 is trying to navigate these troublesome waters and complete a seven game conference only football schedule.
With remote communication at the forefront of sustaining the business world, the Pac-12 announced a new partnership with cloud communications company, Nextiva, as the conference’s official communications partner. The partnership will address current remote communication needs and allow team members to stay connected while working from anywhere.

Nextiva will be working with the Pac-12 and its member schools to develop a program that recognizes student-athlete achievements both on and off the field. In addition, the company will work with the Conference to expand the Nextiva Cares program, which is committed to education in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics.

The partnership grants Nextiva unprecedented visibility across the lexicon of Pac-12 football and basketball. Their company logo will be featured on coach headsets and sideline communication equipment for all Pac-12 football programs, with prominent branding at the Pac-12 Football Championship Game and Pac-12 men’s and women’s basketball tournaments. Additionally, Nextiva will become an official partner of the Rose Bowl.
The communications company joins a number of leading brands that partner with the Pac-12, including 76, Dr Pepper, Gatorade, New York Life, GEICO, Pacific Premier Bank, Pacific Seafood, PrimeSport, Redbox, TicketSmarter, and Unifi.
